Mother Earth Udu (Large) Kuba Udongo (with drum head) side view back view Udongo "Quiet Meditation "
Fula/Tambin inspired Bamboo Flutes The flute of the Fulani people (also called Peulh) of Guinea. The tambin is specific to the Fouta Djallon highlands of Guinea, an area dominated by the Peulh culture. Colorfully adorned, the tambin produces a sound that is at once haunting and exhilarating. It is noted for its characteristic voice/flute effects, its multi-phonics, and its relationship to musical language through storytelling. The Fula/Tambin inspired flutes I design and create makes a wonderful accompaniment for todays African ballet style or world percussion groups. "Horn of Africa" The "Horn of Africa", is a unique off centered horn with a saxophone bite. The one shown has a tenor sax mouth piece. A very hauting African jazz calling sound. Awesome over percussive instruments even outragious with the Udu/Undongas. For audio samples of my flutes,Udongo and saxes go to the tab: SOUNDBITES : Hit Reverbnation: listen to "Udu Soul" | | |
